From school and sports shirts to vacations, military service, favorite organizations, concerts, careers, family memories and special events, each shirt tells a story. Your quilt brings all of those stories together in one unique piece.

Every T-shirt quilt is custom designed and handcrafted specifically for you. I carefully prepare and stabilize each shirt, preserve the important graphics and logos, and create a layout that brings together different colors, sizes and designs in a cohesive quilt.

Your quilt may include traditional sashing, borders and coordinating fabrics to create a finished look that is as beautiful as it is meaningful.

Quality batting (on Flannel and Cotton backed quilts)

One side of each T-shirt (2nd side of T-shirt can count as a shirt)

Pricing

Custom T-shirt quilts begin at $120, with most quilts ranging from $425–$1,200, depending on size, number of shirts and design complexity.

One shirt side counts as one shirt. If both the front and back of a shirt are incorporated into the quilt, each side counts toward the total.

Because every collection of shirts is different, I will work with you to determine the best size, layout and design before construction begins.

The Process

1. Gather your shirts.
Choose the shirts that hold the memories you want to preserve. Shirts should be clean and free of fabric softener.

2. Bring or ship them to Briar Hill Studio.
We'll discuss which graphics, pockets, sleeves or other details you'd like to preserve.

3. Design your quilt.
I'll create a custom layout based on your shirts, desired size and overall look.

4. Approve the design.
You'll have the opportunity to review the proposed layout before your quilt is assembled.

5. Your memories become a quilt.
Each shirt is carefully stabilized, cut and pieced together with coordinating fabrics before being quilted and finished.
